Christmas Puppies Shlabs or Labra peis

Well my Shar pei had her puppies last night (on my couch! ) well they are so cute all is forgiven and the Couch will be going to the Dump soon, lol. My 4 year old has named them Jingle Bells (male)and Mary Christmas or Christmas Carol (the girl) I did not plan on theses babies but my 4 year old let her out and the black Lab was waiting on the porch! I disrupted the hook up so only 2 puppies but they are so cute I just had to share. my DD told our girl Lucy that that was the best Christmas present ever! she thought Santa Had brought the puppies along with all of her presents last night, lol! They were waiting for her when she woke up this morning!

Quick gifts with scraps from your stash

I drew out this pattern myself from looking at other pattens. You can also look at simplicity they have a similar pattern if you need one. Take a look at your stash and try to pull out different colors that you my think will not go together and mix and match you may be surprised with the looks you can come up with. Here I had zebra, pink satin and black and pink pokadot then I lined the whole thing with black fabric. for some added flair I took tulle and trimmed the bottom out and added hotfix crystal monogram. If you cant sew you can buy this in my etsy shop also. I am calling it a divalicious apron what do you think!

Hectic around here!

Well things have been so hectic around here! We have retired from foster parenting with our last kido going home to mom. I know she will do well so I feel good about it. I have busy fixing up the kids rooms and they both want their rooms painted like yesterday. Jacob wants Transformers with blue paint and Hope wants a pink room but wants Ariel bedding so I just got the bedding and I am really doing the room in pink and black like she picked out. There is a wall at church in the bathroom done in zebra stripes that she wants but then she also like flowers I will probably do one wall in flowers and skip the zebra stripes. I am also redoing my bathroom in orange and brown, people cringe when I say that but I also did my dinning room in those colors and it looks great! Melissa was due on the 4th and they are inducing tomorrow I think so maybe he will be born on my birthday or our anniversary! Either way I am excited! I have made a few skirts and shirts and a few more pairs of bling shoes for her but I lost my camera in all of my eclectic crafty mess but there will be a tute soon on a skirt I made so keep an eye out! I just hope I find my camara before the baby comes!

Bling shoes with tutorial!

supplies
approximatly 140 5mm flatback or hotfix crystals clear crystals
108 pink or color of choice 5mm flatback or hotfix crystals 6 for each flower (I put 6 folwers on each side of the shoe)
18 green or color of choice 4mm hotfix or flatback crystals for flower centers
converse or knock offs size of choice (these were faded glory from walmart for 6 bucks)
e6000 glue
hotfix applicator (opinoitial) or Iron

very simple just get a pair of converse or knock offs (these are $6 faded Glory from walmart) flatback or hotfix crystals I used 5mm available at walmart and hobby lobby they have the Swarovski and the Korean I used the korean glass much cheaper but the expensive swarovski really shine and are real lead crystal so I did not want to use the lead ones for my dd but would be great for a teen. You need e6000 glue available at walmart in the craft section the next time I make them I will use double stick tape to help hold the crystals while I glue them on it can get messy and apply the glue on the back of the crystal and the place I want the crystal to go. I started at the top and worked down and just winged it as I went down for the flower design. For the flowers on the side I heat set them with a hotfix jewel setter that I purchased at hobby lobby (just follow manufacture directions) for 10 bucks but will only work on fabric and not the rubber toes (they came off the next day! let them cure for 48 to 72 hours before wearing and enjoy. feel free to ask any questions I cant get a better pic because the shine casts too much of a glare with my camera phone and I cant seem to find my real camara hope you enjoy! Happy crafting!

I got a Roomba!

Well I did it! went to Linens & Things and got a Roomba. Lucy our dog did a lot better than I thought she would but I cant get the kids to leave it alone. Jacob is so excited that he has a robot now, he was running around the floor chasing it, I have to admit that I was following it around too. I could not wait to let it get its full charge so it did not clean a full cycle but it did clean, I have to admit I am pleased. The kids had just tracked in a bunch of leaves from the outside and I just pressed clean and the Roomba cleaned up the mess! even without a full charge. I had wanted the 560 but they were sold but the 530 is truly doing the trick. I thing I will name her Hazel, what do you think.

Frazzled Mom on housekeeping

OK my house has gotten out of hand. My kids have ruined my carpet throughout the entire house. Koolaid stains everywhere where my hubby let them out of the kitchen when I was not home. Lets not forget the big red H in permanent marker in the middle of my bedroom floor where my daughter Hope learned to write her name! BTW a magic erasor does not work on carpet. I dream of just twitching my nose like Samantha on Bewitched, but alas that is just a dream. Then a robot housekeeper like on the Jetsons might be more like it but again just a dream. Oh wait I will help stimulate the economy and replace all of my carpet with laminate and get a Roomba to do the vacuuming now the ticket! now if it would just do the dishes and laundry too life would be perfect.
